White Mountain Jazz & Blues Festival to Celebrate its 5th Year
Mt. Washington Valley, NH - On Saturday, August 31, the White Mountain
Jazz& Blues Festival celebrates its fifth year at the Fields of Attitash
in Bartlett with its best line up yet, featuring national headliners
NRBQ.
"We loved the down home, no hype spirit," wrote the Yankee
Traveler in the August edition of Yankee Magazine. "The breadth of
musical acts presented reflect a labor or love."
Yankee Magazine also went on to say that they preferred the White
Mountain Jazz & Blues Festival over the Newport Festival. That high
praise will be warranted again this year when the outstanding line up of
musical acts takes to the stage.
NRBQ, will be joined by Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, Greg
Abate, jazz saxophone virtuoso, and Rhumbafrica, Boston's premier world
beat band. In addition, Tammy Fletcher and the Disciples will bring
their brand of Gospel blues to the Fields of Attitash stage.
As a special treat, FAJAZZ, an award-winning jazz ensemble from
Fryeburg Academy, just across the border in Fryeburg, Maine, will be
performing some big band favorites. In between shows on the main
stage, The Movers, a regional favorite, will be entertaining at the Big
Top Ballroom.
Presented by Bacardi Rums, the White Mountain Jazz & Blues Festival
gates open at 11:00 a.m. for a full day of continuous music, from
smooth guitar to lilting dance rhythms and flawless jazz, culminating
with a grand fireworks finale at dusk.
