I've been saying "Boh-ee" for the past 15 years, but on Friday Night Videos,
during an interview with Bowie, the host kept calling him "Boo-ee." So what's
the TRUTH?

Well, we Americans tend to say "boo-ee" because of the legendary Jim Bowie
(famous for the knife, although he didn't invent it), I think.

The two times that I've seen him in concert, *he* has pronounced it
"bow (rhymes with cow) ee".

If you want the TRUTH, David's name is pronounced as it's spelled: JONES.

P.S. We always said "boo-ee knife" when we were out in the wild.

Do you mean that the Bowie knife isn't pronounced "Bow (rhymes with cow) ee"?

Sheesh, I've been mispronouncing it for years.

Cheers,
