"In my final thesis in systematical musicology I am working on "New Forms
Of Piano-Improvisation In Jazz - Cecil Taylor And The Consequences." If
you are interested in this or if you improvise in a certain "free" way on
the piano or if you know some internet places regarding to this, talk to
me!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I finished this thesis know (in german)! If you are interested in the
outcomes, mail to me! If you are some more than last time, I will
translate an abstract into english.
One of the results of the analysis of all solo-albums (1968-1990) and many
of the others of Cecil Taylor is the discovery and description of his
"abstract-motive", a kind of motivic favourite lick, which is an stylistic
feature of his improvisations as important as Taylors clusters e.g.!
Please tell me also if you like to get my transcriptions, literature or
discography, too and in which format (gif., eps, word...).
To those who offered help and information I thank very much!
