having just seen the above named film, i am mildly intrigued by the title song.
a bizarre slightly punked up tale of a human-devouring monster, it was performed
by two people whose names i'm struggling to remember ...
Enrico something Peres (???) and Stephen Powys, with Louise Newman on fiddle.
sort of Dexy's meets the Pogues with strong Scots accents. The first name was
definitely Hispanic.
anybody know who these people are/were ?
(or if the song is available on record ?)
thanks

Don't know about the people who performed it, but I do know that
the story, in poem form, goes back a long way. I remember this
much--
"The Lambton Worm, it grew and grew
It grew an awful size
With git big teeth and git big gob
and git big goggly eyes",
so it might be called "The Lambton Worm"...
