_Assembly_ is a rather nice compilation of material from all four of Foxx's
solo albums to date plus a few non-album tracks. It's all been remastered
by Foxx himself and some of the tracks sound considerably clearer than
those on the _Metamatic_ and _The Garden_ CDs. Track listing is...
A New Kind Of Man/Underpass/Burning Car/This City/Twilight's Last
Gleaming/Ghosts On Water/This Jungle/Endlessly/Someone/Sitting At The Edge
Of The World/In Mysterious Ways/Morning Glory/Europe After The Rain/Systems
Of Romance/Walk Away/When I Was A Man And You Were A Woman/Pater Noster/The
Garden

> "The Golden Section"?
There isn't and at the moment there are no plans for one either. Given that
the album just didn't sell in the same numbers as the first two and that
it's been given fair coverage on _Assembly_ I don't hold out much hope for
it ever appearing on CD.
> and what is Foxx doing this days?
A brief resume of his post-solo career...went back to graphic art, meddled
briefly in acid house when he formed the group Nation 12 with Tim Simenon
and Kurt and Simon Rogers, but he seems to have dropped that too and now
seems to be concentrating on his artwork. Oh, yeah, he's also done at least
one film soundtrack (can't remember the exact title of the film though -
something like "Investigation For A Woman") and prior to _In Mysterious
Ways_ he did one side of an album with Anne Clark (_Pressure Points_) which
is worth looking out for. He's done a *lot* of book artwork (the UK edition
of Penroses's _The Emperor's New Mind_, for example) (*), produced a few
videos and in an interview with him that I read a year or so ago he said
that there *would* be another John Foxx album...he just didn't know when.
As for what to expect from a new Foxx album - well, given that he was
apparently trying to get Virgin to let him remix and house-ify the entire
_Metamatic_ album a year or so ago, I'd imagine we'd find he's headed back
from the pastoral tranquility and religious imagery of _In Mysterious Ways_
into something closer to his old stuff (albeit with a 90s beat).
Followups set to rec.music.misc since this isn't really hugely r.m.i.
relevant. Alternatively, if you're looking for a forum where chatting about
John Foxx and Ultravox is positively *encouraged*, keep an eye on
rec.music.info as I should be posting the initial announcements of my new
FoxxVox mailing list there sometime in the next few weeks.

(*) How To Spot A John Foxx Book Cover
1. Look at the back of the book. If it says "Cover Art: Dennis Leigh" or
similar, it's a Foxx cover.
2. Look at the front of the book. If it's got a Roman statue draped in
cloth on it, either alone or as part of a collage that looks
suspiciously like leftovers from the cover of _In Mysterious Ways_, it's
a Foxx cover.

...although whether that will ever actually *appear* is another matter
entirely.
> What's next???? What about Visage "The Anvil" and "The Singles",
Both have been released on CD in Germany. The former, alas, was only
available for a very short while and has been deleted, but _Fade To Grey -
Singles Collection_ is still available on CD - in fact I've got my own copy
(which I managed to get signed by Midge Ure) in the office with me today.

Came out on CD late last year.

Yep, that's out on CD as well, as part of a 2-on-1 disc with their
eponymous debut album.
