I picked up a tape of theirs (6 songs) called All My Friends. I saw them
open for Concrete Blonde on CB's tour for the Free album. The tape has songs
from 89 too, so they might be on the CD. The songs are:
Ten more minutes to live
This old town
Meet your heroes
Pass me the gun
You can't change the world anymore
You'll never see the light of day
I never heard anything about them after the concert here in Toronto, and I
didn't even see the tape until 3-4 months after too! What's the CD like and
how much was it?

Likewise, I got to see HOF backing up Midnight Oil in Houston, Tx. Excellent
show (IMHO). I believe Tantilla is their second album. Their first is
Monkey on a Chain Gang.

Well, what do ya know, somebody asks about my favorite band.
House of Freaks are Brian Harvey and Johnny Hot (not sure of spelling)
They're from W. Virginia I believe.
Hot is one of the most intense drummers I have ever seen. Saw the freaks
when they opened up for the ALARM at DePauw U. in Greencastle, IN back in
early 88. On about 1/2 the songs Hot was only playing a snare drum, but
he had this can about half filled with little beads on one of the drum-
sticks. He was playing so fast and furious, the beads started to spray out
of the can into the audience. (I've still got them). Meanwhile the guys
from the alarm are standing on either side of the stage, throwing stuff
back and forth. Terrific stuff.
When they went on stage the first time they told the audience that the
usual way they are introduced is:
"And now, the two coolest a$$holes in the entire universe,
House of Freaks"
The complete discography (to my knowelge):
Monkey On A Chain Gang
Tantilla
All My Friends (6 song EP)
Two songs from Monkey also appeared on the CMJ Certain Damage
compact disc series (volumes 8 and 11 I think).
There is one extra song on the Monkey CD that's not on the tape.
