1) A E I O U sometimes Y by a group called Eben Ozen (possibly
Scandinavian group). This song came out in the early 80's and MTV used to
play it when MTV first came out. One memorable part is "Mommy, mommy, I
can't see you mommy, where are you mommy..." (obviously taken from
Poltergeist). Live 105 (S.F.) and KROQ (L.A.) both play this song on
"flashback weekends".
I have checked every catalog known to man!! I would even take it on record
if I had to!
2) The Well Tempered Sythesizer by Walter Carlos (now Wendy Carlos -
he/she had a sex change after this and other albums). I grew up with this
classical sythesized music and an old tape deck ate the tape about 10 years
ago. I miss it and would love to get it again!
Please, if you have any ideas about where I could find these - new or used
- let me know!
Thanks for your time,

Ebn-Ozn (Liben and Rosen, according to the Trouser Press Record Guide) are
New Yorkers. "AEIOU Sometimes Y" was on their only album, Feeling Cavalier
(Elektra 60319), which I still see on tape and in the LP cutout bins from
time to time. Surely it's on some "Lost Tracks On The '80s"-type CD
compilation as well . . .

For what it's worth, the actual name of the group was Ebn Ozn, with lines
over the E and O. A friend of minde has the album with AEIOU on it (and
also a song called "Happy Birthday" that I THINK was a minor hit in some
places). I don't think you're going to find it anywhere but in a used
vinyl store. I've never seen it on any 80s compilation CDs, and I really
keep track of such things.

Not to my knowledge it isn't. If there's a compilation with AEIOU on it,
I'd like to hear about it. I agree that cutout bins are her best (and
probably only) hope.
