7. This week's top 50:
Puff Daddy holds onto the number one spot again for a third week in a
row with "I'll be Missing You". This song is dedicated to the late
Notorious B.I.G., and like other deceased rap artists including 2 Pac,
the Notorious B.I.G. is enjoying huge success all over the world with his
"latest" release, titled "Mo Money Mo Problems", which is currently at
number 2 in the U.S. Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G., was born
on 21st May 1972 and was murdered and passed away on 9th March 1997 at the
age of 24.
Australia is truly in the grip of Hanson fever this week as the three
brothers enjoy massive sales on all Australian charts. On the albums
chart, their "Middle Of Nowhere" album is again at number one, while
on the singles chart, their 9 week number one hit, "Mmm Bop", slips
back to number 4 this week. As noted earlier, Hanson had re-written
chart history in Australia with that single by entering the Australian
singles chart at number one with a debut release. This week, they
almost re-wrote another chapter of chart history as their new single,
"Where's The Love", debuts at number 2. No one in the history of
Australian charts has had their first two singles debut at number one.
So close for Hanson, yet so far, as they can never have this opportunity
ever again. Nevertheless, they have two singles in the top 5 - at number
2 and 4. Having two singles in the top 5 is a rare occurance on the
Australian charts. Unfortunately we are yet to see an artist holding down
the number 1 and 2 singles. However, one of the closest times we got to
that was on the 14th of March 1993, when Sonia Dada had the number 1 and
number 3 hits of the week with "You Don't Treat Me No Good" and "You Ain't
Thinking (About Me)". Despite such huge popularity back then, America's
Sonia Dada have not been able to score an Australian top 50 single since.
There's been an interesting trend lately with American country singers
crossing into the mainstream music charts around the world and enjoying
huge success. We've seen that in Australia with LeAnn Rimes and Shania
Twain, and the latest addition to this list is Trisha Yearwood. "How
Do I Live" enters the charts at number 20 this week and features in
the movie Con Air. LeAnn Rimes also has a version of this song out,
so the battle rages on between these two artists to see who can
do best from the same song.
Entering the charts at number 32 this week is the ballad from Paula
Cole titled "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?". This track is from
her current album, "This Fire", and has gone top 10 in the U.S. and
other countries around the world. This lyrics to this song are included
in our triple-feature lyrics section this week.

8. This week's feature song lyrics
Thanks for the many requests for lyrics that people have posted in.
However, unfortunately, I am only able to find lyrics to some of
people's requests, not all of them. If you have any lyrics to singles
currently on the charts, feel free to mail them to me for inclusion
into this list. This week, Paul N. has supplied the lyrics to Puff
Daddy's current number one hit, and two other sets of lyrics make
up this week's triple-feature lyrics section.
* I'LL BE MISSING YOU - Puff Daddy and Faith Evans featuring 112
(Intro, by Puff Daddy)
Yeah... this right here (tell me why)
Goes out, to everyone, that has lost someone
That they truly loved (c'mon, check it out)
(Verse 1, by Puff Daddy)
Seems like yesterday we used to rock the show
I laced the track, you locked the flow
So far from hangin on the block for dough
Notorious, they got to know that
Life ain't always what it seem to be (uh-uh)
Words can't express what you mean to me
Even though you're gone, we still a team
Through your family, I'll fulfill your dream (that's right)
In the future, can't wait to see
If you'll open up the gates for me
Reminisce some time, the night they took my friend (uh-huh)
Try to black it out, but it plays again
When it's real, feelings hard to conceal
Can't imagine all the pain I feel
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living your life, after death
(Chorus, by Faith Evans)
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin' of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you
(Puff Daddy)
I miss you Big
(Verse 2, by Puff Daddy)
It's kinda hard with you not around (yeah)
Know you in heaven smilin down (eheh)
Watchin us while we pray for you
Every day we pray for you
Til the day we meet again
In my heart is where I'll keep you friend
Memories give me the strength I need (uh-huh) to proceed
Strength I need to believe
My thoughts Big I just can't define (can't define)
Wish I could turn back the hands of time
Us in the six, shop for new clothes and kicks
You and me taking flicks
Makin hits, stages they receive you on
Still can't believe you're gone (can't believe you're gone)
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living you're life, after death
(Chorus, by Faith Evans)
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin' of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you
(Faith Evans)
Somebody tell me why
(Interlude, by Faith Evans)
One black morning
When this life is over
I know
I'll see your face
(Outro, by 112 and Puff Daddy as indicated)
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
Every night I pray, every step I take
[Puff Daddy] Every day that passes
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff Daddy] Is a day that I get closer
[Puff Daddy] To seeing you again
Every night I pray, every step I take
[Puff Daddy] We miss you Big... and we won't stop
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff Daddy] Cause we can't stop... that's right
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff Daddy] We miss you Big
(REPEAT CHORUS TWICE WITH VARIATIONS)
(REPEAT CHORUS WITH INTERLUDE TWICE OVER THE TOP TO FADE)
* HOW DO I LIVE - Trisha Yearwood
How do I
Get through one night without you
If I had to live without you
What kind of life would that be?
Oh I need you in my arms
Need you to hold
Your my world my heart my soul
If you ever leave
Baby you'd take away everything good in my Life.
And tell me now
How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I
How do I
Oh how do I live?.
Without you
There'd be no sun in my sky
There would be no love in my life
There would be no world left for me
And I
Baby I don't know what I would do
I would be lost if I lost you
If you ever leave
Baby you would take away everything real in My life
And tell me now
How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever ever survive?
How do I
How do I
Oh how do I live?...
Please tell me baby..
How do I go on?
If you ever leave
Well baby you would take away everything
Need you with me
Baby don't you know your everything good in My life
And tell me now
How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I
How do I
Oh how do I live
How do I live without you
How do I live without you baby.......
How do I live....
* WHERE HAVE ALL THE COWBOYS GONE? - Paula Cole
Oh you get me ready in your 56 Chevy
Why don't we go sit down in the shade
Take shelter on my front porch
The dandy lion sun scorching,
Like a glass of cold lemonade
I will do laundry if you pay all the bills
CHORUS:
Where is my John Wayne
Where is my prairie son
Where is my happy ending
Where have all the Cowboys gone?
Why don't you stay the evening
Kick back and watch the TV
And I'll fix a little something to eat
Oh I know your back hurts from working on the tractor
How do you take your coffee my sweet
I will raise the children if you pay all the bills
(REPEAT CHORUS)
I am wearing my new dress tonight
But you don't even notice me
Say our goodbyes (REPEAT 3 TIMES)
We finally sold the Chevy
When we had another baby
And you took that job in Tennessee
You made friends at the farm
And you joined them at the bar
Almost every single day of the week
I will wash the dishes while you go have a beer
(REPEAT CHORUS)
Where is my Marlboro Man
Where is his shiny gun
Where is my lonely ranger
Where have all the cowboys gone?
Yippee Aw, Yippee Yea (REPEAT 3 TIMES)
