on Alice in Chains' first album Facelift there is a song called
"Bleed the Freak", and in the middle of the song there is a segment of
Layne
Staley whispering, my question is, what the heck is he saying...

anyone know...

hope so, cause it has been bugging me for a while now..

Starts 2:23 into the song by my clock. Can't make out what the
whispering says, but I wish someone would figure it out and post it, so
Google'd have it archived. Can't find any hint that anyone's ever
figured it out with keywords like +saying or +whispering +"bleed the
freak". It's be kind of cool to know. Sorry it took 11 years to
answer your question. I was busy. And not even a very good answer at
that.

Hey! Hope you haven't stopped checking this thread, respond if you get
this. The lyrics he whispers are as follows

All of these things you've done for me
have left me so fucking tired
I'm not saying you haven't done a lot of good
but if there's one thing you can do
you can bleed for me,
BLEED FOR ME

God Staley was a wonderful musician. The lyrics were written by Jerry
for "Bleed the Freak" though, still Staley added so much.

Yeah, finally have a chance to check the thread and respond after
another year. Sheesh, I've got to keep up better. Thanks for the
info. Sounds about right. Still miss Layne. What a damned shame. He
left a lot of great music though. Listening to Bleed the Freak again
today, heard the whispering, and found the old thread again.
