I think they may be associated mith Mercury or under them or something?
I'm looking for a way to contact them about an out of print recording
from 1982.

Polygram is now part of PGD Distribution system which includes Mercury,
London and lots of others. If the record you're looking for is out of
print, however, they probably won't be of much help.. What's the title?

I think they are still around. Abba's import CDs are released on Polygram.
If it's out of print though I would check a used store.

Let me clear this one up for you. Polygram is very much still in business,
being one of the largest record companies in the World (and owned for 75%
by my own company, hence a healthy source of revenue!). While few records
might be appearing on the Polygram label, its family of labels continues
to release a vasy amount of stuff, just think about Polydor, Phonogram,
A&M, Island, Motown, Mercury, Verve, Deutsche Grammophon, Philips, Decca,
etc. They're still going strong, believe me, and not just in music, but
videos, video-CDs and films.

Hope that helps, Dem (dem...@prl.philips.nl)

Who owns the remaining 25% of the Polygram labels? I thought they
were a wholly-owned subsidiary of Phillips...

Hello--I'm the one who originally posted the question! You hit the nail
right on the head: the problem is that I am looking for a 1982 movie
soundtrack that was a polydor recording released by polygram records. Is
there any way to track down a copy anymore? So far every retail store
(i.e. Musicland, Hastings, Camelot) tells me that if it ain't on their
list then it doesn't exist!

Since you're company is involved with them, do you think you could find out?
