7. This week's top 50:
After eight weeks at number one, Lou Bega's "Mambo No. 5" finally slips
back to number 2, thus becoming the second longest running number one
of the year - just one week short of Britney Spears' "Baby One More
Time" which managed to hold onto number one for 9 straight weeks. And
taking over from Lou at number one is the dance hit by Eiffel 65,
titled "Blue", which moves up from number two to one in only its
sixth week in the top 50. The rest of the top 10 is fairly stable,
but all the top 10 singles now have a sales accredition, which isn't
surprising for this time of year. After all, approximately 40% of all
singles sales occur within the last three months of the year, so
songs that make the top 10 now and in December will really be selling
in large volumes.
This week's top newcomer is from dance group ATB. Their first release,
"9pm ('Till I Come)", made it to number 10 back in June, and this week
their follow-up, "Don't Stop", comes in at number 11.
Australian group Area 7 debut at number 29 with their latest release
titled "Second Class Citizen". If you're after budget priced singles,
then add this one to your shopping list as it retails for $4.95.
Meanwhile, check out the Area 7 home page at http://www.area7.com.au/
for further information.
Excluding the re-entry of Martina McBride's "I Love You", the third
and final new hit into the charts this week comes from English pop
group, Steps. The second single off their "Steptacular" album is the
ballad "After The Love Is Gone", and it enters the charts at number 47
this week. Similar in sound to their song "One For Sorrow" from last year
(which actually appears as a track on this single), it recently debuted
at number 5 on the UK charts.

9. This week's feature song lyrics
-----------------------------------
DON'T CALL ME BABY - Madison Avenue
-----------------------------------
*** NOTE: These lyrics have been transcribed by listening to the song
*** and thus may be inaccurate in places. Corrections are welcome!
You and me, we have an opportunity
And we can make it something really good
But you, you think I'm not that kind of girl
I'm here to tell you baby I'm gonna rock your world
BRIDGE:
Don't think that I'm not strong
I'm the one to take you home
Don't underestimate me, boy
I'll make you sorry you were born
You don't know me
The way you really should
You're sure misunderstood
Don't call me baby
CHORUS:
You've got another baby
That'll never do
You know I don't belong to you
It's time you knew I'm not your baby
I belong to me
So don't call me baby
Behind my smile there's a lot like you
I must admit this just does not sit with the likes of you
You're really sweet,
Mmm, you're really not
But didn't mamma ever tell you not to play with fire
(BRIDGE)
(CHORUS x2)
----------------------------
I LOVE YOU - Martina McBride
----------------------------
Yeah
The sun is shining everyday
The clouds never get in the way for you and me
I've known you just a week or two
But baby I'm so into you I can hardly breathe
And I'm in
So totally wrapped up
Emotionally attracted
So physically acting
So recklessly I need you
So desperately sure as the sky is blue
Baby I love you
I love you
I never knew that I could feel like this
Can hardly wait till our next kiss
Your so cool
If I'm dreaming please don't wake me up
'Cause baby I can't get enough of what you do
And I'm in
So electrically charged up
Kinetically acting
Erractically need you
Fanatically you get to me
Magically sure as the sky is blue
Baby I love you
I can't believe
That this is real
The way I feel
Baby I gone head over heels
And I'm in
So totally wrapped up
Emotionally attracted
So physically acting
So recklessly I need you
So desperately sure as the sky is blue
Yeah
And I'm in
So electrically charged up
Kinetically acting
Erractically need you
Fanatically you get to me
Magically sure as the sky is blue
Baby I love you
Baby I love you
Do you love me too
Baby I love you

AFTER THE LOVE HAS GONE - Steps
-------------------------------
Here we are, we're perfect strangers
After all this time there's no more you and I
But don't look for blame
We've come so far to different places
And now to try to live a lie would be a crime
It's better this way
And we may not have tommorow
But there's always yesterday
After the love has gone
Only fools carry on
We've been hurting for so long
And we both know that it's wrong
After the love has gone
Then we just don't belong
We both know that it's wrong
After the love has gone
It's clear this far nothing to say now
We sang alone and tried so hard to play the game
It all ends the same
Just words no more fill these spaces
When love is gone it's only wrong to try again
I know it's a shame
That we may not have tommorow
But there's always yesterday
After the love has gone
Only fools carry on
We've been hurting for so long
And we both know that it's wrong
After the love has gone
Then we just don't belong
We both know that it's wrong
After the love has gone
Here we are, we're perfect strangers
Now to try to live a lie would be a crime
It's better this way
And we may not have tommorow
But there's always yesterday
After the love has gone
Only fools carry on
We've been hurting for so long
And we both know that it's wrong
After the love has gone
Then we just don't belong
We both know that it's wrong
After the love has gone
