Yeah, ok, it sounds silly, but there is currently an
animated Listerine commercial (featuring jungle scenes,
you've probably seen it if you are a US person) that has
some cool music. Anyone know whether it is taken from an
actual song, or whether it is just another jingle? It sounds
a little like the chorus in the song "Joyride" by Tribe, if
that helps at all.

In search of good music and fresh breath,

Katie

The song (esp. the OH OH OH OHHHHHHHHHHH OH OH OH part) sounds very much like
the early 1980's hit "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora. I like the song very much and
the commercial too!

Just my 8% of a quarter's worth,
Joe

Yep, the jingle's an adaptation of "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora. It was popular
in January 1986. I remember hearing it on the radio the night before the
Challenger accident.

Well, in England in the summer of either '84 or '85, there was a song called
"Tarzan Boy" or "Tarzan's Boy" by someone. Any English pop music fans out there
who remember?

No, but I'm a Canadian music fan who remembers...some guy called himself
Baltimora, summer of '85 or '86--I'd tend to say '86, at least in Canada. The
album was called "Living In The Background", and I seem to recall that he was a
one-hit wonder.
