Hey, can any fans tell me if Robert Buck is related to the
guitar, mandolin, etc. god Peter Buck of REM. I know Michael
Stipe appears on 10,000 Maniacs' In My Tribe and was wondering if
there is a Buck connection...

Thanks,

I think they're brothers. The guest appearances on each album are
not due to name coincidence.

In fact, they're identical twins. Their parents split up when the
lads were just tots, though, and Pete stayed on with mom in Athens,
Georgia, while Robert moved with dad to Johnstown, PA. Incidentally,
their mom, Pearl S. (for Stipe, her maiden name), was a famous novelist.

Billshit. They aren't twins. I knew Rob. He and Peter were cousins.
