7. This week's top 50:

Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink spend a third big week at
number one with "Lady Marmalade". Moulin Rouge, the movie soundtrack
from which this single is lifted from, has opened in cinemas across
Australia, while the soundtrack album had shot to number one on the
Australian albums chart this week.

As for the rest of the top 10, it's mainly just position shuffling.
Nelly Furtado's "I'm Like A Bird" peaked at number 2 last week and
drops to 3 this week while last week's number 3 hit, Atomic Kitten's
"Whole Again", moves up to number 2. Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me" becomes
the third single this year to be certified triple platinum, and with
its current ranking at number 4 on the chart this week, it is set to
rival LeAnn Rimes's "Can't Fight The Moonlight" as the biggest selling
single of 2001. Watch out for Shaggy's new single which is titled
"Angel" and features the vocals of Rayvon. "Angel" is a cover of the
classic hit "Angel Of The Morning" which was written by Chip Taylor
and recorded by Merrilee Rush in 1968 and later covered by several
other artists including Juice Newton in 1981. "Angel" recently
topped the U.S. Billboard singles chart and is set to have similar
success in Australia when released this week.

Mya is enjoying the time of her life on the charts in Australia this
week. Her former number one single, "Case Of The Ex" is certified
a platinum seller and is at number 23 after 16 weeks in the chart.
Mya is one of the artists featured on this week's platinum selling number
one single, "Lady Marmalade" and she debuts at number 11 with her
brand new single titled "Free". This gives Mya 3 singles within
the top 23 this week. This of course begs the question as to which
artist has had the highest ranking bunch of 3 singles in the chart
during the same week. On the 21st of February 1993, we had Guns n' Roses
with 3 singles in the top 21:

And the winner of this battle is Melanie C from the Spice Girls as
she enjoyed 3 singles in the top 16 during the 20th of December 1998:

Making a massive re-entry into the chart this week is Robbie Williams
with "Supreme". This single is lifted off his "Sing When You're
Winning Album" and it first entered the chart back at the start of
April, peaking at number 41 and then dropping out of the top 50
after 3 weeks. Now, 6 weeks later, the song enters the chart again,
but this time way up at number 14. Of course, these amazing chart
movements don't happen without a reason. Robbie Williams is performing
concerts in Australia shortly and to co-incide with that, "Supreme" has
been re-released as "Supreme Hits" featuring the song "Supreme" as the
first track, plus bonus tracks including "Rock DJ", which was a number
4 hit for him last year and "Kids" which was his recent top 20 duet
with Kylie Minogue. Speaking of Kylie Minogue, it's her 33rd
birthday today (28th May), so Happy Birthday to Kylie!

This week's final new entry comes from America's bad girl of rap,
Missy Elliott. "Get Ur Freak On" enters the chart at number 46 this
week. This is Missy Elliott's first solo top 50 hit, however
she featured on Scary Spice Melanie B's single, "I Want You Back"
which went to number 12 in October 1998.
