I second the vote for Monsters of Rock - '89 (Memphis!)

I also put in one vote for Iron Maiden - Powerslave!

Oh no, it's time again to tell the world what your favourite music is.....
So there isn't really a "best" concert I've been to, but I've been to quite
a few good ones:

1971, Jarfalla, Sweden, Flasket brinner w/Bo Hansson: early Swedish prog
("prog" in both Swedish and otherwise sense)

1974, Stockholm, Sweden, Mahavishnu Orch.: this was the "Apocalypse" tour
which featured a string quartet besides the fusion virtuosos. The
best Mahavishnu I've ever seen.

1983, Stockholm, Sweden, Peter Gabriel: great music and to date the most
both intelligent and technically impressive light show I've seen.

1984, San Carlos, CA, Miles Davis: needless to say anything.

1984, Berkeley, CA, King Crimson: ...out comes a little man, around forty,
brown suit, hair growing a little thin, book-keeper-looking who bows
to the audience and sits down on a chair. Then he brings out a
grim-looking black electric guitar and starts to make very nasty
sounds...

1984/5-ish, Stockholm, Sweden, James Blood Ulmer w/ George Adams: just great.

1988, Providence, RI, Frank Zappa: the best Zappa I've heard live. Probably
matched only by the legendary around '73-75 band, which I missed
live.

1988, New Haven, CT, Sugarcubes: I went to this concert just out of
curiosity (What? Icelandic? Gotta see!) and was blown away.

And of course a bunch of others that don't come to mind just now.

Lene Lovich - Hotel Bradford Ballroom(now called: The Roxy) in Boston.
June'82(?) She was two hours late, but still the BEST
concert I've ever been too! Thomas Dolby played keyboards!
New Toy was the big attraction at the time.
:
Midnight Oil - Metro, Boston, May'88. My heart never recovered. Peter Garrett
was a real show stopper! We were standing up against the stage,
the sweat was pouring onto us!
