Who wrote "Tequila"?

I'm talking about the mainly-instrumental song that was first recorded
in the early 60's (I think). It has an upbeat, guitar-based jazzy-rock
sound, and the only word in it, "Tequila!" is shouted out at rhythmically
strategic points. The first recording (in '62) was made by the Drifters,
if that helps. (Note: don't confuse with "Tequila Sunrise" by the Eagles.)

Anyway, I want to know who *wrote* the song.
