it works fine. goes right to the pics.
Thanks for having a look... it is nights like this where I find the
inspiration for poetry.
Early Sunday morning walking with you on Chershire Bridge Road
passing sound of radio.
Gee, I think it'd be nice to have a couple of cups of coffee with you
and watch morning come.
Walking on Cheshire Bridge Road early Sunday morning with you
barefoot in the dew.
Sunlight burns away until the fog is gone
and brings in the dawn.
Every time I see your face
it reminds me of music.
Every time I see your face
across that bar.
Early Sunday morning walking with you down Chershire Bridge Road
passing sound of radio.
Still would like to have a couple of cups of coffee with you
and watch morning come.
Words - Will Dockery
Music - Gene Woolfolk and Henry Conley.

First time in a long time that the words make sense. I bet you cleared your head
with a cuppa joe before you wrote this.
I'd give this a spell chec,k though, to polish the lyric transcription. I didn't
give it a hard look, but I noticed 'Cheshire' misspelled a couple of times.
Karla
There's been an almost endless cup of coffee near me for the past few
months, yes... 21 months of no booze, although I have thought about
getting smashed again a couple of times over the last few days... the
thought crosses my mind when almost everyone I know drinks pretty
heavily.
But, yeah, there was some good coffee that night... Geno played a
little riff on his piano which HC picked up on with some guitar, and
the words followed the flow of their melody... currently, we're
working with a female vocalist to sing it, and so far looks like a
winner to me.

Jeeze, yes, thanks for pointing those mistakes out to me... not sure
why I kept hitting the "r" in "Cheshire", but that really does ruin
the poem, for sure. Unfortunately, I did have a corrected version of
this, but in the hub-bub of the moment I posted this earlier one.
All I could spot is the "Chershire" bits, which are horrible mistakes!

Hey, Larry, sorry I'm not on the board as much as I'd like to be, "hot
down, summer in the city, backa my neck getting dirt-n-gritty" and all
that Columbus Georgia sort of thing, but, this is a collective of the
four of us, Henry, Geno, Sandy and me, a "show" where we each have our
individual acts accompanied by the others, and also a couple of sets
where we work together. An entertainment package, so-to-speak:

No argument there, Dink, I collect almost everything, books, records,
comix, art, CDs, videos... always have and always will.
And yet another good thread in which Dockery changes the title to
something about himself. Originally: Casting Usenet Poetry: the Movie
(posted by Joy). Now: Dockery, Conley, Madaris & Woolfolk: The Pack
Rat Show (posted by Dockery). Is it too hard to just start a new
thread? Must you fiddle with everyone's threads?
Awww, Karla, you know that a Usenet movie would have to star the two
of us. Meryl Streep could play you and Joe Peschi could play me, in an
afro wig and elevator shoes...

Duckery the only 'rat pack' that YOU could be a part of are the rats that
infest your crap hovel of an apartment.
1 a.m.? But how does a sober person*snicker* like you survive that long in a

Dumbshit, YOU have already posted the photos, and I'm promoting your show as
much as you promote the use of deoderant.
"...We enjoyed your performance last night! Thanks for the invite.
Truly a stellar performance! Must grab larger targets for your act.
Deserving of such...Henry has that Rockabilly smooth style, John
Phillips has the perfect look and sound (keeps time to perfection),
Gene and Riley add a touch that top billed New Orleans and southern
bands would kill for, Will is...Will! ... He has the best offbeat
vocals that sound like Troubadours of past...Love it! ....and then
there is Sandy Madaris...Amazing vocalist! ...makes one melt in their
seat when she pulls that sultry bluesy sound out of her heart! Has
that special way of bringing words into motion from deep inside!
Thanks, Sandy for tearing my emotions to shreds...Doris and I will
spread the word ...keep us posted of your next concert so we can bring
potential bookings out to listen in. Thanks again!"

Dockery you're so stupid you make idiots seem smart by comparison.
a reprise: (just for you ersatz)...
The ballad of orson and ross
orson and ross get into a bitch slap session wherein orson, in his
best dress
and pumps, grabs ross and stuffs his fat ass into a new wave pro oven,
when
he is only half done orson yanks him out and throws ross into a vat
of
boiling fat…when crispy he then puts ross’ remains on a garbage truck
and
devours him with toast points and cheap vodka…realizing he has just
eaten
poison he fly's to chicago, goes to the top of the sears tower where
he
flings himself off the edge…hitting the ground at breakneck speed he
splatters himself and ross waste all over the unsuspecting crowd
infecting
hundreds with tainted green ross and wells where the infected
population
must now go through painful rabies shots for life…when some of the
infected
are later asked if it is worth it, the unanimous reply is: yes! and
thank
god those two piles of crap are now gone…
...not the end...

Just because you have one on reserve for your activities with other men
doesn't mean the rest of the world thinks the same way, 'dickery'.
It was a wild ride within a wild ride, thanks to founding members
Brian Mallard (guitar), John Phillips (drums) & Geno Woolfolk (flute &
piano) and new inductees Randy Dameron & Jon Edwards (guitars), Jim
Patrick (bass), Thom Payne (mandolin), Sarah J., Darlene Dameron,
Doris Cox & Elsie Austin (doo wop girls), for giving me the lush sound
to bark my musings upon. Here are some of my early notes on the show,
which was video recorded & will appear here soon:
Will Dockery: Sorry we didn't get the communique to you through the
proper channels, Bluebird, but we have many more times ahead to
perform together. We had 12 people (at my quick count) onstage with
the Shadowville All-Stars tonight but I still missed you. Friday night
at Del Ranch, Saturday at Bunkhouse Blues for some Packrat action?
Stacy ran the video while we were performing, and also filmed many of
the others tonight, so you'll be able to watch it, anyway. What we
need to do sometime soon is rehearse "She Sleeps Tight" & "Ashes To
Justice" with Mallard a couple of times so we can get them into future
sets. I'm jotting down the names of the 12 (maybe 13) performers who
made up the Shadowville All-Stars tonight... Elsie was one of them!
[...]
Amazing night on Broadway at The Loft. We got there and 20 acts had
signed up! Luckily Geno had phoned us in earlier, so we were #7. My
quick count is we had 12 musicians & singers for the Shadowville All-
Stars set, which we videotaped. The night included Brent Lindley's
birthday party & the return of the Mufftones after a several year
hiatus. Someone can make a list, I barely know where to start.
[...]
If the video shows that we sounded & looked as good as I think we did,
I'd say I'll have a song for it up in a couple of days. Walter Mallard
(Brian's brother, who you'd no doubt have known if you'd taken the
newspaper job, he's a reporter for WRBL TV3 here) requested that we
get a full live version of "Ozone Stigmata", which we used to play
often... back in 2006-07, but pretty much retired, lately, so that was
a focus for tonight. Three guitars, a bass, mandolin, drums, flute,
keyboards, four female backup singers (I'll list the names in a 'thank
you', shortly), and me. That's 12, I think (Geno doubles with flute &
keys).

The fall Doo will have many of the same features you are familiar
with, but with more of a "harvest-time" flavor....pies, jellies, jams,
jerky, etc, and, of course....appropriate costumery.......there will
be an emphasis on the already rich trade/swapping that naturally goes
on among our family of art friends, with an official Barter
Faire.......we also hope to have the new sauna, hot showers, and wood-
fired pizza oven ready.
Come all ye inventors, movie makers, ballerinas, bikers, morticians,
bakers, artists, conspiracy theorists, scientists, foodies, eco-
whatevers, moonshiners, comedians, fire-spinners, yodelers, he-shes,
animal-trainers, pickle-makers, party girls, sock monkeys, stackers,
jugglers, musicians, whittlers, spankers, fisherpersons, beggers,
wanderers, and map-makers.......
...now have a nice day, Whistlelisper.

your songs are like a cat being stuffed into the glove compartment of a car
as Dan Ackroyd drives and recants old tales from Saturday Night Live
episodes of the late 1970s and an ambulance goes by in the next line while
the radio is stuck on a station that provides nothing but polka music and
the volume knob has come off and no one knows where it went

Pretty good critique there, Orson... so, Karla took my idea to heart
and is training you, after all?
Also accurate, you off-key, ignorant, clueless half-assed pizza boy piece of
shit.
Only your opinion, Dink.

Can't take the heat then get out of your screeching kitchen, Duckery.

Will Dockery is a slimey piece of shit.
You spelled /slimy/ wrong, college-boy.

A spelling lame is the best you can do? Tsk, tsk. How Duckrish. Next you're
going to say I violated copyright of the spelling error.
Oh, and let me put back what you "accidentally" snipped. It makes it so much
better in context.

Well, have you ever heard of a spell-checker, since you have such a
problem, in spite of all your claimed "education"... an English Major
at that?

"...The Shadowville All-Stars provide the musical canvas for the word
paintings of Will Dockery, the Poet Laureate of Shadowville.
Individually, we are a dozen-or-so musical merry pranksters who rotate
in and out of the lineup at different venues. Collectively we are The
Shadowville All-Stars. Artists who share the stage with us in a live
performance become Shadowville All-Stars forever. It's kind of like
the Baseball Hall-of-Fame, only you can't get kicked out for
gambling..." -Dennis Beck
Well, have you ever heard of a spell-checker,
Have YOU ever heard of a bar of SOAP, you ignorant, hypocritical DULLARD?
