Tuning slide is stuck on my trumpet. How can you free the slide? Thanks

A competent repair shop is your safest bet.

Do you remember what if anything was the last sort of lubricant you
put on the tuning slide? Some people use vaseline [as I do] but that
can lock up your slides if they are tight to begin with.

Place the horn in the fridge for an hour (or freezer for 15 min.).
Meanwhile boil a small cloth bag filled with sand. Apply the bag
to the sides of the slide. Have a friend loop a cloth through the
slide and pull while you're doing this.

Strip trumpet of all parts except stuck slide. Soak overnight in
penetrating oil. Pull slide next morning. - If still stuck, bring to
shop....They have special pulling blocks that will prevent bending
slides or breaking braces, so don't put too much pressure on horn
yourself.......
