I got it back in '82 when I was in high school. Seemed superb back
then. Very flexible, very free, but with a nice dark sound as well.
These days, I'm a comeback player and it seems *too* flexible and *too*
freeblowing. I recently purchased a larger bore horn (Selmer Radial),
and it still doesn't seem to require as much air as the ML bore Strad.

I play on one of these now. Even though I am a Yamaha player, this combination
is really nice. It plays in tune well, can really project if needed and can
blend very well if needed as well. I still prefer the Yamaha but until I get
mine back in shape, this one fills in just fine.

I've got one just like it for sale, in all but perfect condition, silver
plated. Beautiful (one little spot of plating loss where one's left thumb
squeezes in between the first and second valves).
$895, but you'd have to spend full retail on new to get a nicer one. Comes with
a case in equally good condition, and your choice of a Snickers or Milky Way
candy bar. Heck, I'll cover the shipping in the lower 48.
