Need to replace my Tottle 3B w/ K stem. Also, looking for mouthpiece source
for a Meinl&Lauber natural trumpet.

Lou DiOrio in Providence RI now owns the Tottle mouthpiece line
and makes custom mouthpieces.

Speaking of Tottle -- He was one of the greatest repair technicians to
ever exist. He was a true artist, and a hot shit to boot!!! I spent
more than a few hours in his shop on St. Batolph (spelling?)Street in
Boston. He did wonders with instruments that were run over by band
busses and the like!!!!

Does anyone know how to contact Bill Mazzocca (Tottles nephew and the guy
that sold the Tottle line to DiOrio)?

Hi!

I can't speak to the Tottle mpc question, but as for the Natural Trumpet
mpc, try Andrew Naumann in Oconomowoc, WI. He makes both trumpets and
mouthpieces, and has several styles of each (all reasonably priced, I
think). I have a Naumann "S" (Standard) 'piece for my Endsley and my
Henlein/Barclay/Clark horn that I built at the Barclay natural trumpet
making class last year. The mouthpiece has the largeish (Shilke 20 or
so cup diameter) flat rim, hemispherical cup, large throat, stepped
backbore, and baroque taper. It works MUCH better than a modern (Shilke
20, and similar) mpc.

Naumann's e-mail address is andr...@aol.com.

Hope this helps...

Speaking of Schilke, don't they still make the Edward Tarr model for
natural tpt?
