I would like to find out some information on a "model YTR-232S" in
silver plate. I'm assuming its a Yamaha. Tell me what the normal price
for a new and used one is and if it is a good playing horn, any personal
experiances, etc. At least confirm that it is a Yamaha for me.
Thanks for any information.

Maybe there is a 232 model, but the only numbers I'm familiar with
similar to that is the YTR 2320, by Yamaha. It is a student line
trumpet. Its price at IMS (Interstate Music Supply) is $379.60 for the
lacquer version, and $436 for the silver plated version (YTR2320S).
Those are quite "fresh" prices, since I called this morning to find out.
Someone stated in a posting that they paid $1000 for one 10 years ago in
Cananda. Oookaaaaaay. Hope that helps.

A little trivia- Yamaha uses the prefix, Y, then the 2 letter
abbreviation for whatever the instrument is. TR for trumpet. FL for
flute. TS for tenor sax. EP for euphonium. AS for alto sax. Well, you
get the idea.

The YTR-232 is the old modeling system from the systems. It is the same
as a modern YTR-2320
