reverse leadpipe

i hear you guys talking about reverse leadpipes all the time and i was
wondering what they are. do you just take a normal pipe from the horn and
reverse it? if so, why do that? what does it do? thanks a lot. mike

Look at your std lead pipe, look where the main tuning slide
INSERTS into the lead pipe. On a reverse lead pipe, the
relationship is opposite, i.e. the tuning slide is "female" and
the lead pipe is "male". The benefit is a more continuous taper
and moving the air flow disruption of the joint farther from the
mpc. This results in a feeling of more free blowing, less
resistance, and some claim a noticeable difference in tone
quality.
