Well, music, (even guitar music) is more on topic than politics....
Watching this guy play was more refreshing than hashing over politics.
While he's a guitarist, trumpet players don't always have to limit
their listening and discussions to and about trumpet players.
Just measuring the not-related-to-trumpet ratio to related-to-trumpet.
Apparently, it's not that important.
Carry on.

There's always The RIght Reverend MEkey to tip the scale.

Aye, Aye Sir!
Saaaaaalute!
Of course, if you want to return to politics, read and comment on this:
There should be no mosque near Ground Zero in New York so long as
there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia. The time for
double standards that allow Islamists to behave aggressively toward us
while they demand our weakness and submission is over.
The proposed "Cordoba House" overlooking the World Trade Center site -
where a group of jihadists killed over 3000 Americans and destroyed
one of our most famous landmarks - is a test of the timidity,
passivity and historic ignorance of American elites. For example,
most of them don't understand that "Cordoba House" is a deliberately
insulting term. It refers to Cordoba, Spain - the capital of Muslim
conquerors who symbolized their victory over the Christian Spaniards
by transforming a church there into the world's third-largest mosque
complex.
Today, some of the Mosque's backers insist this term is being used to
"symbolize interfaith cooperation" when, in fact, every Islamist in
the world recognizes Cordoba as a symbol of Islamic conquest. It is a
sign of their contempt for Americans and their confidence in our
historic ignorance that they would deliberately insult us this way.
Those Islamists and their apologists who argue for "religious
toleration" are arrogantly dishonest. They ignore the fact that more
than 100 mosques already exist in New York City. Meanwhile, there are
no churches or synagogues in all of Saudi Arabia. In fact no Christian
or Jew can even enter Mecca. And they lecture us about tolerance.
If the people behind the Cordoba House were serious about religious
toleration, they would be imploring the Saudis, as fellow Muslims, to
immediately open up Mecca to all and immediately announce their
intention to allow non-Muslim houses of worship in the Kingdom. They
should be asked by the news media if they would be willing to lead
such a campaign.
We have not been able to rebuild the World Trade Center in nine years.
Now we are being told a 13 story, $100 million mega mosque will be
built within a year overlooking the site of the most devastating
surprise attack in American history.
Finally where is the money coming from? The people behind the Cordoba
House refuse to reveal all their funding sources.
America is experiencing an Islamist cultural-political offensive
designed to undermine and destroy our civilization. Sadly, too many of
our elites are the willing apologists for those who would destroy them
if they could.
No mosque.
No self deception.
No surrender.
The time to take a stand is now - at this site on this issue.
Why does it take a Brit to put into words what every
American should be saying ?
Pat Condell is a British stand-up comedian, but this
video isn't comic, it's pure truth!
The typical English view is one of incredulity! How on
earth could such a thing be taken seriously let alone be backed by your
president!!!
Since you have nothing to offer that's trumpet-related...

Bzzzzzt.
The proposed cultural center is two NYC blocks north of the "ground
zero" site. Not even a sight line.

Wrong name. Try again.

Man, you're not doing well, here.

I see a pattern developing here.

No possibility it relates to the cultural revolution in Cordoba? I'd
suggest that you stick to your "specialty", but you don't seem to be
able to converse effectively on that front, either.

*yawn* -- cut and paste demagoguery.

Yes, of course, as we are seeing so many evangelical christians
clamoring for the right of Muslims to practice their constitutionally
guaranteed right to worship anywhere their please, in accordance with
the equal protection clause of the US constitution.

Umm -- okay -- considering that there's about $13K in funds in the
bank for this project, it's not going to be a "mosque", it won't be
built in a year, and it won't be "overlooking" ground zero, you've
lost all credibility. (Surprise -- you had none already.)
> Finally where is the money coming from?
The $13K? Really?
You are almost as big an idiot as Howdy.
I'll tilt a glass to that, Jeff.
Meanwhile, thinking about the movie "Good Morning Viet Nam", when I go
somewhere and I'm addressed as 'Sir', I tell them "Don't call me sir.
I WORK for a living"
Bzzzzzt.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT.
The $13K? Really?
As I said earlier, the stupid will get what they deserve.....Unfortunately,
my kids and grandkids are riding in your boat, so when it sinks they will
drown along with you......
The $13K? Really?
You're kidding, right? More like $100 million.......But then, It's typical
of liberals that they don't know the difference between a thousand, a
million, a billion and a trillion.....You must have gone to the Nancy Pelosi
school of accounting.....:^)
Cite a verifiable source that claims that they've got any significant
money in the bank for this project.
I'll be waiting.

Cordoba Initiative FAQ:
"Who is funding the Community Center?
No funds for this project have been raised to date. Before
fundraising can begin, a new nonprofit organization will be formed. A
project of this scale will require very diverse fundraising sources,
including individuals from all faiths and beliefs, including
Christians and Jews, who are committed to peace and understanding. We
expect that our sources of funding will include individuals of
different religions, charitable organizations, public funds,
institutional and corporate sponsors."
Here, I'll break out the hard part for you: "No funds for this
project have been raised to date."
You must have gone to the Glenn Beck school of investigative
reporting.
You need to bring some better skills to the game, Bill, this is like
shooting fish in a barrel.
Maybe we'll get back to talking about trumpet at that point.

Better recount the zeros in your bank account balance, gazillionaire.
I'll be waiting.
Cordoba Initiative FAQ:
This is a 13 story building in downtown Manhattan....It is a multi million
dollar project. The money is going to have to (read already is) come from
somewhere. You know they are going to build it, and Saudi Arabia is going to
(or already has) financed it. Where did that $13 K figure come from? Get
real. I don't want a monument to terrorism build here in my
country.,....Neither do over 70% of the American people.......Maybe you
should go to Saudi Arabia. (except they wouldn't allow you to live there)
But tell me how your wife likes the idea......:^) Also you didn't address
the complaint that the Saudis wouldn't allow us to build a Christian church
in Saudi Arabia....Why don't you bitch about that, and call them a bunch of
Nazi's?(Speaking of shooting fish in a barrel.)
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0810/41238.html
---
The only time anyone has to account for what they have, or what they intend
to have, is when their income taxes come due....This is usually around April
15th. But it doesn't take a genius to know that the 13 story Mosque in
downtown Manhattan is going to cost around 100 million dollars or more. And
they wouldn't even be talking about it unless they had already lined up the
means to pay for it. The reason they don't want to talk about is obvious to
me. If it isn't to you, then you have been properly brainwashed by the next
owners of the world.....I hope your wife likes wearing a birka and walking
six paces behind you.......You call me a Nazi......Just wait a while, and
you'll find out what Nazism really is......
Document, please. They don't even have an architect.
> come from
> somewhere. You know they are going to build it,
No, I don't. In fact, I doubt this project will ever reach
completion.
> and Saudi Arabia is going to (or already has) financed it.
Oh noes!

Your inability to follow hyperlinks doesn't really impress anyone.

Cleaned that up for you.

Sorry, I didn't realize that you equated the US (and its Consitution)
with some foreign country. Why do you hate America?
Oh noes!
If I did, it would be because of insulting, antagonistic ass holes like you,
Jeff.....But I don't, because I have many intelligent responsible, adult
friends that I can rely on who are reasonable and helpful, and don't waste
their time with idiots like you....So, I have decided to join their ranks
and put you into my kill file where you can enjoy spitting and screaming to
the other ass holes I have in there.
I apologize for being the one to point out when you're wrong so often.
> So, I have decided to join their ranks

You might want to ask your adult friends how to spell "asshole".
>I hope your wife likes wearing a birka and walking
>six paces behind you.......
Without me getting into the politics of a mosque being proposed near
Ground Zero, I can't let the above slide without commenting.
Doesn't this happen already where many of today's generation of
American born males treat 'their women' in the same manner - in other
words - like dirt. In as much as I don't take stock in the afternoon
judge shows like Judge Joe Brown and see these shows as entertainment,
most of the cases are just as I suggested above. The women have no
self respect where they let these shiftless zeros crap all over them.
And while the women might not be wearing birkas, both they and the men
on the defendants side have big crucifixes hanging from their necks
down to their overactive crotches. But there again, when 'religion'
comes into play, shit hits the fan - no matter if it's Christian,
Jewish, Islamic, or the rest of the world's religions too numerous to
list.
Incidentally, I never called Bill a Nazi. Just one more instance of
him being wrong, which he apparently doesn't tire of much...

There's a lot of stupidity going around concerning nukes. And it all
started here in America (as well as attempts in Germany) some sixty
some odd years ago when our scientists and technicians developed (and
used) the first two nuclear weapons. Yes, the use of them saved many
of our soldiers lives.
However brilliant these scientists were though, they should have
exercised foresight as to what would happen (not IF) but WHEN the
technology gets in the wrong hands. By them letting their big egos and
arrogance get in the way where they wanted to play 'God', I really
have to question their claim that these weapons were for the 'common
good'. If there is a Heaven and Hell, even Robert O. implied that
because of his participation in this project, he'll end up in Hell.
Despite how smart 'we' may be, maybe 'we' can be too smart for our own
good.
In a sense the mixing politics and the topic of trumpets could be
'valid'. A few months ago, Obama made mention of the industrial
decline in city of Elkhart, Indiana. He was referring to the motor
home industry though. However, he should have gone back a few decades
earlier when Elkhart was renowned for the manufacture of fine musical
instruments. The C.G. Conn and the Martin companies immediately come
to mind. Especially so with the Martin Committee trumpets being built
in Elkhart which the careers of trumpet players of all races, creeds,
and professional standing have benefitted by playing those horns. At
least to me, when these companies (as well as Olds, Frank Holton, and
other manufacturers located elsewhere) went under, it was a major,
major decline in the American industrial process.
