The Trumpet Players' International Network FAQ
1. What is the "The Trumpet Players' International Network"
TPIN is an electronic mailing list. Trumpet players around
the world use it to communicate daily.

2. What sort of people will I find on TPIN?
Trumpet people; professional players, composers,
teachers, professors, students, repair technicians,
and even non-players.
3. What do "trumpet people" find to talk about?
The discussions have been quite varied, including such topics
as pedagogy, equipment, performance practice, recordings,
improvisation, famous and not-so-famous performers,
literature and others. Instruments have been bought and sold
on the network and many collegial friendships have been formed.
4. Who is the Moderator?
TPIN was founded and is administered by Michael Anderson,
Assistant Professor of Music at Dana College and trumpet
enthusiast. Dana College, is a private liberal arts college
in Nebraska near Omaha.

Yes. There is an anonymous FTP site full of
trumpet-related documents. Scans of famous trumpet
players, routines, lists of repertoire, and much more.
It is available by anonymous ftp to:

to get to the trumpet directory do a blind:

7. Is eveyone welcome?
Yes, feel free to distribute this FAQ and FTP site address.

Yes, to get one message a day, send the following message:

9. How come I get bounced mail messages when I post to the list?
TPIN is unmoderated. Anything you post goes directly to eveyone
without editting or censorship by the moderator. When subscribers
drop their accounts, messages will bounce to the sender and not the
list.
