For those of you out in cyberland that own or have played a Calicchio
or Kanstul flugel -- let's hear how you feel about your/the horn. How
does it sound, intonation, free-playing ability, construction, valve
block/valve function, studio use characteristics, etc. Although some
of the comparisons may not be totally accurate, let's include both the
brass and copper Calicchios as well as the Kanstul Chicago,
Signature, and Custom lines. Don't forget to mention the good AND the
bad as you perceive it. Maybe Chris from Calicchio and/or one of the
Kanstul reps. will stop by and share some insightful comments about
their flugels.

I any case, I'm anxious to hear what others say about these flugels!!!

I've waited for someone who has experienced both to respond. I can only state
that I have played the Calicchio flugel and it is a joy. I like Callets,
Couesnon and some Courtois. I'd like to experience the Kanstul and the WT
flugels.

Have you tried the Kanstul Chicago model? It appears and plays like the
Callichio, which is awesome. The kanstul Chicago plays better than the
copper bell models.
If you're down to Kanstul vs. Callichio for a flugel you've done your
homework. Either way is a good choice.
