If my memory serves, this horn is the Blessing top of line model, labled for
that store. I would avoid this. It is an intermediate horn in my opinion, one
of questionable quality and consistency, hardly a Strad at half the price.

I did get a kick out of the "this is not a pink case" proclamation about his
picture of the seemingly pink trumpet case. I guess he's never heard of
photoshop (or any of a million other photo programs). LOL.

Actually, this a Kanstul made horn. It might even be a decent playing
horn, but that guy and his web site annoy the hell out of me.

One of the pictures shows a rank of "silver plated trumpets" which are
almost certainly Kanstul CCT 900s (reverse leadpipes, 3rd valve screw stops,
model number stamp on receiver, silver valve buttons, etc.) If the Zeus is
a Kanstul horn, it is probably a pretty good horn. Whether it is the
equivalent of a Mt. V. Strad or lives up to the advertising hype is another
question. My CCT 900 is a nice horn but certainly does not blow as freely
or as in tune as my old Bach (it does slot better in the upper range), but
then the CCT 900 certainly is not at the top of the Kanstul product line.
Totally off topic: I got the CCT 900 as a replacement while my Bach was
being restored and to march in an old fogey's band (One More Time Around
Again Marching Band). Because the horn has a reverse lead pipe, my clamp on
lyre went on the tuning slide -- and dragged it out. I figured that I would
have a lyre block soldered on the third valve slide, but my local repair guy
didn't have one in silver and didn't want to ruing the horn's finish, so I
e-mailed Kanstul about doing the work or selling me a slide with a lyre
block. They sent me back an e-mail saying they would add a lyre block free
of charge. The VP of marketing called me yesterday to acknowledge receipt
of the slide and to make sure I did not want an adjustable ring/lyre combo
(which I didn't). Man, that is awesome service! -- Jay Beattie.

Maybe this year, but it wasn't last year. Take a look at the web page. The
bottom photo, admittedly smaller and blurrier, is a different horn than the
ones pictured above it. It has gold small parts and bell interior and detailing
which is different than the model pictured in the larger pictures. That is a
Blessing trumpet and what was being sold as the Zeus several months ago. If I
remember correctly, I think it was even being advertised as being made in
Elkhart.
Kanstul or not, I still wouldn't buy that horn.

I've been meaning to come over to your new place and look at your horns. Do
you have the prototype finished? I'd love to try one. I'll try to give you a
call in a few days.
