a3000 vs. esi4000

i've heard loads of great reviews for the yamaha sampler despite its
finicky ram problem but the esi4000 looks like a good deal, too
considering the price and all. anyone with experience with both or know
any info about which is better?

I have the esi 32, os3.0 which is the same machine as the esi4000 (exept I
have half polyphony and half ram - 32 poly and 32Mb maximum).
I wouldn't go for the esi4000. Nothing new. The Esi is a VERY VERY godd
machine, but it's much clever to buy the esi 32 (2nd hand) which will cost a
lot lot lot lot cheaper !
But for the esi4000 price range the A3000 version 2 is much better, lots of
amazing stuffs and functions... Really mad ! It reads .wav, onboard effects
and so on... It's just a fantastic machine.
go for tha a3000
