Hi all,

as a new user of Roland's PMA-5, I've come to the following question:
Is there a way to adjust the contrast of the LCD?

Almost all gear with LCD have the possibility to change it - on the
PMA-5, I couldn't find one (yet).
First, I thought that it was the weak batteries that were shipped with
the unit that made the display contrast seem weak to me as well, but
when I plugged in an AC-adaptor, the phenomenon remained.

Any comments on this? Is there a way to contact Roland people by EMail?

Best
Richard

I found the same problem. I think that the screen is designed to be read
from an angle i.e. lie the PMA-5 on its back and look at the screen at
an angle of around 45 degrees - the contrast improves, doesn't it?

I still find this annoying:
1. You should be able to adjust the contrast.
2. You should be able to view the screen from directly above as well as
from an angle.

Maybe the Mk2 version will improve on this (if there ever is one). BTW,
any sign of the much heralded and yet to be seen SMF conversion/link
software for the PMA ?
