Hello everybody,

I've acquired EMU ESI4000 Turbo Zip sampler and I'm trying to figure out
how to map breath controller (CC#2) coming out from EWI 3020m to volume
in ESI4000. As far as I know, that's possible, but I don't know how to
do that. Do you have any step-by-step guide how to do this? Any help
will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Szymon ukowski

Breath Control with everything, including the EWV module, is MIDI Controller
2. With that information you can probably dig up in the manual of the ESI
how to map a controller to a function and map it where you desire it to go.

you might find this interesting

our MIDI and V-Accordions have migrated to
controller 11 (Expression)
for the bellows (esentially breath) movement

they work better this way, as expression changes several
parameters besides volume - and of course depending on
how you have the sound patch tweaked for timbre sensitivity

ps: a midi solutions event processor can change/remap
stuff like this on the fly
