Dear all,

Is it possibly to 1. transfer sound patches between the different Yamaha
synthesizers of the SY series and 2. to transfer patches from the DX7 to
the SY models (especially SY77, SY85 and SY99) ?

Thanks in advance,

MCH

Emagic SoundDiver will convert regular Dx7 FM sounds to SY77 or SY99.

It will also allow you to port sounds from SY to SY.

Good Luck,

Yes, it is possible to transfer DX7 patches to SY77,TG77 ans SY99 synths.
just go to the SY-list and download 'DX2SY'

If you are interested, I've converted all the DX7 patches I could find
(>10000) to SY77 sysex format. Just let me know if you should need them...
no need to do all this work over and over again.

Hi!
Does this apply to the SY 85 also? I have just bought one! It is in
transit and I am trying to learn as much as I can about it and collect
resources. Any tips from 85 users would be greatly appreciated also!
Thanks!
Have a Great Day!

No, the SY-85 does not have the FM-synthesis part of the DX-7 and SY77...
