We're working on one to ready pretty soon. Actually the unit is a standalone
joystick which sends pitchbend, mod wheel and channel aftertouch. A hairy
version of this runs on a computer. Do you have a PC?

Yamaha used to make a Y??-2 that had pitch and mod wheels. I forget the
exact model name. It came out in 1986 or so. Haven't seen one for years.
Old issues of keyboard might have a short take review on it though.

>And if so, how would be connected to my equipment ?

MIDI, since all it does is generate MIDI pitch bend and continuous ctrlr #1
messages.

Hi there,

I own a master-keyboard (88 keys), and I would like to have a pitch-bend wheel.
Does it exists a stand-alone one ?

And if so, how would be connected to my equipment ?

Thanks for any help.

I think that's MCS-2 (Midi Control Station). It had pitch & mod
wheels, 2 MIDI sliders, 2 sweep pedal inputs, 2 footswitch inputs, 8 x
8 patch select buttons...most all of it programmable. But it only
worked on one MIDI channel at a time.

I had one, but sold it when I replaced the digital piano with a master
MIDI keyboard. I bought it used in 1988, and it's only one of two
units that I'd ever seen--I don't think they made it for very long.
Other than that, there are fader boxes, and I have that lil Pocket
Pedal thang, but none of these give you all the different hardware
gizmos in one box, particularly no wheels.

(One thing I'd like to see is a stand-alone ribbon controller.
Drool...)

Yes, I have one, but it would be nice to connect this device without the
need of a PC. When I play at home, I can use it, but I cannot carry it
when I play somewhere.

So, would it be possible to connect this pitch mod bend with ... somewhat like
a MIDI merge box ?

Do I need a MIDI merge box or something like that to connect it ?
