Its a strap on from Roland, evidently limited edition. its bright red with a
couple of pretty neet control features.
seen them for about $499
it has a set of controls for "GS" evidently Roland specific controls for
midi, like reverb, chorus , etc. I don't think that they covert to other
non-Roland devices. I was hoping someone here would have some ideas on it.

I didn't ask "what is it?". I asked where you or anyone else may have seen
them for sale.

BTW, those controls are set up to correspond with Roland units first, but
you'll find that they will correspond w/several manufacturers' units.

I bought one about 4 years ago for about $350 as a close-out sale. They're not
made anymore which is a shame. I really like mine and don't do too much fancy
with it, just control guitar sounds on my QS7 live with it for getting up front
with the "real" guitarists in my band. But with the pitch ribbon and modulation
bar you can do some cool guitar-like stuff, even hammer-on simulations!--
