S4+ - copy a Prog -> a mix

HI,

I recently bought an Alesis S4+ and I want to copy some of the programs
from the PROGRAM banks to the USER bank of the MIX section but it looks
like you can only copy Program -> Program or Mix -> Mix. Does anyone know
if I can copy a program from Prog -> Mix ? Any ideas are appreciated.

Mixes are collections of 1 - 16 programs (midi channels)
Select the mix you would like to edit from user bank
(78,88,98 computer mix 1,2,& 3 are good choices)
(do a sysex dump first if you'd like the old one back)
hit select from edit modes (next to global)
hit page till program assign is selected
You should see the bank and program for the current midi channel
& underneath bank number enable
using quad buttons 1 2 & 4
select programs bank, number for each midi channel you're
using in the mix. hit midi < or midi > to check/set each midi channel
in the mix.
Some mixes use less midi channels, use enable to enable each midi
channel you want to use
(78,88,98 have all 16 channels enabled by default)
RTFM. It's poorly written, but most usage info is there.

p.s. remember to store your mix , if ya like what ya get (you're
editing the mix edit copy of the mix you selected, only one can edited
at a time)
also as I'm building the mix, usually store as I go, then you can use
compare to jump quickly between two patches.

After all that, do you have a computer & sequencer software?

for instance pc, with demo version of cakewalk, has patch maps for s4+
midi out set to mid port connected to s4+
select patchs for 16 tracks set to midi channels 1-16
hit store on s4+
done, still can see, still have time to play
