I am looking for documentation for the Apple MIDI Manager. I realise that
the MIDI Manager is no longer supported by Apple, but nonetheless I would
like to read the documentation. Can you tell me how to obtain it?

I know about OMS and FreeMIDI and have the OMS SDK, but I would like to
know about Apple's MIDI software.

Please respond by mail if possible. I will post a summary of useful replies.

Thanks.

I don't think I've ever seen any real documentation for MIDI Manager, but
you can get some information in the help for Patchbay. With PatchBay
running, select 'About PatchBay...' in the apple menu, and you'll be able
to access it.

I would have sent a copy to the original poster Scott quoted, but there is
no citation.

Anyway:

you used to get complete documentation and example programs (w/source)
from APDA. You can now get it directly from Apple's ftp server. However,
MIDI Manager is no longer supported, and Apple has passed the ball on MIDI
drivers to Opcode. You can get developer tools for Opcode's OMS from
_their_ ftp server. There's a link to there on my home page.

Cheers,

Peter
