I have an asr-10 which I use mostly for sampling (have a ts-12 for
the 'music' and a Mac sequencer). I'm thinking of trading in my asr-10
for an asr-x and am wondering if I'll lost anything besides the keyboard.

What doesn't the asr-x have that the 10 does?

Thanks.

We use an Asr-10 as well as an ASR-x. The ASR-X has somewhat of a synth
built in with factory sounds that you can program and edit on top of the
sampling capabilities. The main difference is that the X does not have the
full effects that the 10 has. Which the effects that have come with the
ensoniq eps plus through asr series are one of the main selling points of
this keyboard. Besides the fact that it's affordable. The X will read
Asr-10 disks which is cool and it has these little finger pads instead of
keys. It's cool but I dont think I would trade the 10 for the X unless you
plan on buying alot of nice lexicon reverbs and effects units.
