Twidgets, please help!

First of all, for those of you that don't know, a "twidget" is slang for an
electronics tech in the U.S. Navy. We use the term loosely, and it's not
s'posed to be offensive.

anyway, I desparately need help. Does anyone know where I can find the pin-outs
to build a MIDI in/out cable to connect to a SoundBlaster AWE64 joystick/MIDI
port? I would just buy the dern thing, but it would take a month or longer to
get it here - I'm at a remote station, VERY remote.... I just bought an Alesis
QS6, but for some reason I can't use the serial port on it. So i've decided to
just use the MIDI ports, but I don't know the specs I need to build the cable.
Any help would be EXTREMELY welcome.
