Zero Sette accordions in USA are sold by few dealers as Giuliettis.
I found this long time ago from trying to purchase CBA accordion
directly from them.
After, I found that these two are the same accordions I resigned from
the purchase since I had vintage accordion made by Gulietti and I did
not like it that much.
I regretted my decision later, after I bought at eBay litte 24 bass
Alessio piano accordion custom made by Zero Sette So I know now that
all accordions are not equal, even those made by Zero Sette otherwise
Giulietti.

Enjoy it,
W.D.

I do not think so. During my recent visit to Zero Sette, I learned that Zero
has their own models. I tried one in the factory and it was great. But they
will not sell direct, nor do they export to US. There are dealers in many
countries. Same with Giulietti brands, they sell them at some countries, but
the rights to the US market were retained by Gulietti - he did allow them to
sell elsewhere...

Hi Dan,

I just reported what I heard directly from Zero Sette sales
department. I want to add the following - that there was an old
preverb in USA - which says '"there is more than one way to skin the
cat." You basically said the same thing I did in a differnet way.
Four years ago they would sell to me directly the Zero Sette with the
Giulietti name on it but I did not want that. Now, I do not plan to
buy even cheapest and best new accordion. Older accordions from
1950-60 are the best if fixed with care. Only exceptin to the rule
would be if new accordion would have reeds made with double rivets
and guaranteed from rust for at least 10 years. All others
Giuiettis, Zero Sette. and Excelsiors and other brands would not
cut it for me with only one rivet reeds made by aoutomatic machine.

Enjoy it,
W.D.

Dear Accordion Friends ,
just a note to clear up that we don't sell our ZERO SETTE accordiond to the
U.S. and we have never had a ZERO SETTE representative there .
We have supplied american accordionsts with our GIULIETTI line of
accordions and the selling network has always been managed directly by the
Giulietti Family .
As Dan already wrote the ZERO SETTE , Giulietti , and Petosa lines are
completely different .

In case someone needs more informations or has some more questions pls.
contact us by e-mail directly .

I really think that there is no OBJECTIVE best accordion in the world , an
accordion is such a "personal" instrument that each player would have
different taste , and would make different choices .

For what concerns ZUPAN , it is only a Trade Mark nowadays , but BELTUNA ,
the actual producer of ZUPAN accordions is one of the GOOD ITALIAN
MANUFACTURERS at the moment and is also producing upper scale instruments ,
mainly related to folk (traditional)music .

During the last years there has been a lot of changes here in Castelfidardo
(where italian accordions are produced) , several accordion manufacturers
have been closing down or went even bankrupt and in some cases the brands
and Trade Marks are still existing .
But in several cases we see that very famous brangs get in hands of small
commercial companies that buy hals made accordions , finish them in a cheap
way and sell the overseas for good $$$ .
Usually these people are able to sell most of all overseas because europena
customers get to know the tricks they are using in a short time .
This is just to inform and warn you !

Have a good day !

Yes, we have in the past discussed in the Newsgroup
and given warning about the Asian accordions being
"re-worked" in Castlefidardo and branded with
famous old "Marquee" names. One Canadian importer,
in particular, who is very active on eBay has
suckered quite a few people with these fakes.

The power of old brand names, and the lack of
actual knowledge about the Industry by accordionists
outside of Italy makes it possible for unscrupulous
people to make this deception.

We are very glad to have your participation in our
Newsgroup... I wish more manufacturers would make
their voices heard on a common level. Next time I
am in Italy, I will make sure to visit Zero-Sette.

Ciao Ventura

Hi Ventura ,
I am happy to know that it is not "disturbing" you if sometimes I check out
the newsgroup being a manufacturer , but the fact is that I do this job (as
sevaral other collegues) because of my passion for the accordion and you can
imagine that it is very important for us to have a contact and an overview
of the final customer's wishes , problems , dreams , ideas , suggestions ,
ect.

Unfortunately there is only a limited time available for these kind of
things so most of my collegues don't take care at all , and I can only check
a few times a week .

I will be happy to have you visiting us during your next trip to
Castelfidardo and as far as I can I will try to do my best to supply all
newgroup members and accordion enthusiasts with the informations and advices
I can get here in Castelfidardo .

Ciao !

Alessio

Hello,

I like your responses, and your staying tuned to the customer.
My visit at your factory was most educational.
The main point is of course, that you are one of the last very few
manufacturers that cares a lot about keeping the quality standards very
high. I respect it and appreciate it very much.

Best Regards

Dan Lavry

This is an answer to Mr. Alessio Gerundini from Zero Sette Company and
all our faithful customers and admirers of ZUPAN ACCORDIONS.

Zupan is not only a trade mark - where did you hear that? Valentin
Zupan is a person and still makes accordions, located in Menges,
Slovenia. As I'm his legal sales representative appointed by him
personally I can assure you this is very alive company now spreading
to all world markets.

Beltuna makes Zupan accordions only partly and we all know he copies
them as well under the brand name TYROLEAN which then is artificially
connected to Zupan name in order to sell better in North American
markets. Zupan makes models under the name ALPE, JUWEL and JUBILEUM
and these are the only legal Zupan brand names. EVERYTHING ELSE IS A
COPY!!!!

Every single Zupan accordion is checked by Zupan himself before it
goes to the customer and this is how we assure internationally
recognized Zupan quality.

All our accordions are internationally protected and patented and we
will be forced to proceed with legal aids because our customers are
lied to.

Mr. Gerundini, if you live in Castelfidardo you should now who Beltuna
is and who Zupan is. If you are warning people around the world you
should find out the truth first.

I suggest you to check our website www.zupan-accordions.com and
clarify your ideas about Zupan.

As we are continually extending to the markets outside Europe we meet
a lot of people not knowing the real story behind Zupan brand name. It
seems that Zupan is some kind of a non-existing legend. We are here,
we do work and you can contact us!

Zupan is alive!
