I have questions for anyone familiar with "tenor bands." These were the
1930s style dance and society bands with tenor sax leading the section.
Popular orchestras in this style included Freddy Martin, Eddy Duchin,
and Henry King.

Did they use stock arrangements?
If so, how were they modified or transposed?
if not, what did they use (i.e. club-date style head arrangements)?
What was a typical sax section, tenor-alto-tenor or all tenors?
What was a typical instrumentation aside from saxes?

I have a big band date coming up and want to include some tenor-band
sounds. TIA for any and all help.
