I would like to ask if one of you can advise me as to where I may find or
obtain a written transcription of the solo performed by Charlie Parker
entitled "Just Friends". Thank you.

I have one from CW Swifts web site. There are a few errors but overall
it's a pretty good transcription. I cannot remember the web site but
send me email & I'll attache a .pdf copy to you.

I think there's on in the jazz piano book series by John Monhegin (sp?).
I can't think of the name of the series, maybe just "Jazz Piano".
It's, say, four volumes, at least 25 years old.
Check your local library (or inter-library loan).

Go to www.saxsolos.com & click on samples for "Just friends"
transcription. It's from Parker with Strings, Verve 523 984-2 dated
11/30/49. You can download the complete sample transcription.
