Who currently is making the absolute best digital piano on the market. I want
an action that is virtualy indistinguishable from an acoustic grand piano. I
can deal with almost any type of sound, but the touch and feel and durability
is most important. Any ideas?

Well of course such opinions are entirely subjective. However, and I haven't
heard this piano, Yamaha has just relased a new model that looks impressive. It's
called the DGT7 and is a digital piano with grand piano action and with the
Disklavier system, which moves the keys and pedals up and down on recorded
material (yours or pre-recorded). To read all about it, go to:

Also check out the GT2 (Yamaha), a smaller version with a real grand action,
32-note polyphony, MIDI, internal sound system. $8,000-15,000 range. They're
selling alot down in Sarasota, Florida (big retirement community) so with any
luck we might see some popping up used before too long. It's predecessor the
GT1 is also out there. Kawai makes one too but I have yet to play one. Kawai
is also coming out with a new pro line digital that also acts as a serious MIDI
controller; we'll see.

The GT2 also employs a grand piano action, and doesn't have the
accompanying Disklavier system if you don't want it. It's also more
compact, and quite a bit smaller (read: Less expensive) Action is
virtually indistiguishable from an acoustic grand.

Be sure to check out the new Kawai MP9000 OR the Kawai CA950. These
models are the only
Kawai (or other brand) digital pianos I know of with the Enhanced AWA
Grand WOODEN KEY
Action. I am not a pro but to me this felt most like a piano. Sounded
good too.

Which is the best, and at what price, digital piano in a traditional grand
piano cabinet. Kurzweil Mark 150, 152? Yamaha? And how much does should it
cost? Thank you.
