Hey Ken, I though that I would drop you a line a tell you that I played the Ginastera pieces and relly liked them and of course they were very demanding, especially the third piece. That was definetly my favorite one though. As for the remark you made that you would have to start lifting weights to be able to play the piece well I am not so sure that that would help. What would help I feel is playing the piece in sections until each is really mastered and is comfortable for you. Each section could be only 8 bars long for a while...then maybe make it 16 bars then later try a whole section as a section. I used to try to run through ALL my repetoire daily and then also try to build new repetiore at the same time. It is very demanding like that. Try to NOT play the ENTIRE piece all at once. Maybe for a few weeks just play 1/3 or 1/2 of it. That way you can conserve you energy and still make progress on the piece without running a marathon every day. Give it a try. I haven't played the 3rd piece in a while and I think I will get it back soon. I felt like superman when I played it. Talk at you later. steve....@ndbbs.com
