An acquaintance has a 15-year-old apartment-size Wurlitzer he wants to sell.
I'm keen to replace my very old upright. I'm learning to play old favourites
and light classical music as recreation. Is this Wurlitzer a purchase I
should consider. Thanks very much

Okay, I just gotta ask. What's an apartment-size Wurlitzer?

I thought an apartment-size piano was an upright about two thirds the height
of a full upright.

Never hear that before, but let's see, an upright is either 48 or 52 inches
high, so that would be 36 or 37 inches which would be a spinet. Spinets or
generally cheap, say $400 to $800 tops.

I once rented a small wurlitzer because it was inexpensive. It was painful to
listen to and it caused me to stop playing. After a month I exchanged it for
an Everett and lived happily ever after.

Unless of course it is a genuine hand crafted in Seol, Germany Bernhard Steiner
prototype, in which case it would be a 42" spinet and $25,000 from the
factory......

Only $25,000? Are you sure about that?

With apartment-size pianos, the utilities are paid, but you have to
keep paying month after month.
