Hello, I would like to know if current models (grands) of these two
famous piano makes are worth the high pricetag, i.e. are they still
superb instruments?

Most definitely. You'll find the dealers will negotiate on price as well, so
when you finally get the "real" price, either of them can be had for equal or
even less than a Steinway. And in my opinion, either brand is superior to
Steinway.
