I was recently in a store looking at a Roland HP 230 for a beginners
piano for my daughter. I was told by the salesman that this is the
most current model line (and because of it being a new model they
couldn't talk price much). Yet when I look at the Roland Web page, I
see they list the HP 236 model with slightly better features.
SO......which is the current model???? Please help!!
Thanks

It's been awhile since I have shopped for Rolands (and purchased one), but as I
recall, the 230 had an "oil dampened" keyboard that didn't feel quite right to
me. I would guess that its replacement has the much better PA-4 hammer action
keyboard that is used on the higher level Roland digitals. Be sure to get the
better keyboard.
