Among the well-known pieces played by Richard Clayderman, there is a
"Les Derniers Jours d'Anastasia Kemsky" (The Last Days of Anastasia
Kemsky).
Based on the title in other languages, it appears that the name
"Anastasia Kemsky" refers to Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova, the
youngest daughter of Czar Nicholas II of Russia, who was killed along
with her family in 1918 by the Bolsheviks.
Is this the case? If it is, what does "Kemsky" mean? Where is it it
from?
Thank you for reading and replying!
