I was just wondering what different acronyms are out there that people use
to learn their staff lines?

I grew up with the old standard "Every Good Boy Desrves Fudge (or fruit)"
and "Good Boys Deserve Fudge Always" and of course Father Charles Goes Down
And Ends Battle for the circle of 5ths. Now that I am teaching, I am amazed
at what my students bring in. "Fat Cats go Down Alleys Eating Birds (
Alfred)" - "Fat Cats Get Dizzy After EAting Bananas" - "Ernie Gave Bert Dog
Food" - "Green Balloons Drop From Airplanes"

Oh and the spaces... FACE is obvious. I learned All Cows Eat GRass, but one
kid the other day told me Are Cats Ever Green?

What else is out there? I might make a list for teachers. Email me!

"Empty Garbage Before Dad Flips!" is a good one...

Taken from a CBC radio comedy skit, entitled something like "All of
Classical Music Explained":

- Expels Gynecologist, Blames Diapragm Fiasco
- Eat Ground Beef, Die Foaming

For the circle of 5ths I learned:

Fat Cats Grow Denser And Ever Bigger.

Please post the list if you compile one. I'd love to see it!

Funny, I'd have thought that last one would have been from the BBC,
not the CBC.

Funny you should mention that - - the man performing the skit is actually
British himself. Sorry I forgot.

You might also include geographical information. I was trained in a
South African convent by a German nun in the Trinity School system. I
learned "Eat Good Bread Dear Father" and "All Cows Eat Grass". And,
"Father Charles Goes Down And Eats Breakfast" and then, "Breakfast
Eaten And Down Goes Charles Father" for the other direction! ;^)

Hmm.. I think the other one was "Great Big Dogs Fight Animals".
