I have a very old, approx. 105 years, upright piano manufactured in Germany by
Ferd. Manthey.

The info inscribed in gold on the piano itself says:

Ferd.Manthey
Berlin-London-Florenz

Another small plaque that reads:

Mit Mantheys Bifornix Resonanzboden.

It is in excellent condition and has the most outstanding woodworking on the
front, using various types of wood from africa and other parts of the world to
form the intricate floral designs in different color shades of wood. The piano
itself looks like it is made of mahogany and plays very well. I have maintained
it for a number of years, but never got around to finding out more about this
make and model or value.

If anyone has any information or can give me an idea of value, it would be most
helpful.

Thanks

Tony

Dear Tony,

I was going to answer, but I read your warning and I'm afraid you might sue
me.

The manufacturers address is Ferd Manthey, S.O. 36, Reichenberger Str.125, Berlin.
If you send the serial number we could tell you exactly when it was manufactured.
What else would you like to know?
