I have a Technics Digital Ensemble PR350 hooked up to a computer with
Cakewalk Home Studio version 5. I do not do anything adventurous, I
limit myself to playback of MIDI from the computer and recording from
the piano.

The piano suddenly stopped responding to the MIDI signal and I can't
find out why. I have subsequently installed Windows 98 and replaced my
computer but nothing has changed.

An email to tech support refers to MIDI settings on the piano but as far
as I know, there has never been any special setting. Unfortunately I
have lost the MIDI section of the manual.

Has anyone a similar set up and/or any clues? Thanks in advance.

The most likely culprit in these scenarios is cables/connectors. Have
you tried swapping the cable for a known good one? After that, you
might see if there's a way to reinitialize the software in the
Technics. I would say that's the 2'd most common thing. This is of
course assuming that no one else could have gotten into the software
(computer or keyboard) and toggled off one of the Send or Receive MIDI
functions.
