Dealer has a new Yamaha GranTouch GT10 digital upright on sale for
$4500 Canadian (or approx $2832 US). Is this a good deal?

Apparently the (new) piano was on the floor for about a year, near the
sheet music stand, and customers used it to 'try out' sheet music.
Comes with full warranty from the dealer. It appears to be in
excellent condition, and the touch, as compared to my Korg C150, is
excellent.

Or put it another way, I just can't believe just how 'dead' my Korg
is, and I wonder just how much this 'dead' feeling is a hindrance to
learning proper technique. Heck, my little Roland PC-80 MIDI
controller is more 'alive', indeed, that's the one I use for most of
my practice.

By the way Radu, thank you very much for your thoughts on "last minute
practice", much appreciated.

Actually I shoul keep my mouth shut because re-reading your original
question I realized that you were talking about a GT10 UPRIGHT, which I
have no idea what kind of piano is. I was mislead by the GT initials. I
know that the GT1 and GT2 are not uprights, have actions of grand pianos
inside and their prices ,as Justin mentioned, are in the 10-13K US$
range.

I think there is a better deal in Tucson AZ, apparently is the same.
