I've tried it first at the age of 16 (perhaps really lousy). Now I'm a
music teacher (piano is my 2nd instrument) and I'm asking myslef, if I will
ever be able to play the 3rd movement like it's exact in my conception. So
I dread, I'll never reach it. It's almost possible to get better in tempo,
but it'a a fulltime job, to make a record!
: I was wondering how long it should take me to learn the entire 3rd
: movement of beethoven's moonlight sonata?
: I can get the notes ok but not too sure if i'll be able to play it at
: the appropriate speed.
: I have already learned movements 1 & 2 and can play them flawlessly.
: (well, pretty much so)
I have never learned any classical piece, but in general, I believe
that one cannot put down a definite time of finishing a piece. I
believe that a finished piece is when you feel good of playing it,
giving you the satisfaction, and enjoyment of playing, not trying to
prove anything to anyone!
So...Take as long as you like!
Sang.
BTW, I have been learning how to play the piano for 6 years--4 more
years, then we've be in touch :-) I hope we will both have Moonlight
Sonata, too, by then :-). Take care...
